Looking on to the beloved Pannett Park and the Whitby Museum, The Grove guesthouse is ideally located for easy access into the centre of Whitby and all it has to offer. Just a few minutes’ walk away from the beach and divine restaurants and bars, The Grove provides comfortable and convenient accommodation in a purpose built Edwardian guesthouse which dates back to 1904. The Grove was taken over by Joanna and Danny Lans in 2018 and has since been redecorated to the highest standards to ensure guests can relax and enjoy their stay in Whitby in a home away from home. 

 

The Grove offers seven delightful guest rooms and a fully equipped self contained apartment with free parking available to all guests at the rear of the property. Each room has a variety of amenities, including tea and coffee making facilities and fresh milk so that guests have everything they need to relax and unwind after a day of exploring Whitby. All of our accommodation is en-suite and has complimentary WiFi and LCD televisions. There is ample outdoor seating on three different levels. Please note that we do not allow pets and that we are a non smoking premises. 

 

We pride ourselves in providing breakfasts of outstanding quality with all our products being hand picked from local suppliers, including the award winning Landers of Whitby, Willison’s green grocers and Cod Roe fishmongers. Guests can choose between a wonderful selection of breakfast options including a full English breakfast and lighter options such as bagels and cereals. We also provide lactose free and gluten free products and cater for those who suffer from allergies and intolerances to ensure peace of mind when choosing their breakfast.
